How do I get a print of a photo that appeared in National Geographic magazine?


Our Image Collection offers unframed and framed prints of wide variety of images that have appeared in National Geographic magazine over the years. Prices range from $25 for an unframed print to $275 for a custom framed print. For more information, visit the National Geographic Photo Store.

In addition, you can search the National Geographic Poster Shop for available posters. Most of the posters sell for about $25. How do I suggest a topic for National Geographic magazine?


Suggestions from our readers play an important role as we plan future coverage. You can submit your suggestion to: askngs@nationalgeographic.com, and we'll forward your recommendation along to the appropriate editor. (Bear in mind, however, that because we're only able to publish about 70 articles a year, we are often forced to pass on ideas that have merit.)


How do I look up articles and obtain back issues?


You can search our online publications index by keyword for a listing of articles by subject or author.

Although the full texts of articles are not generally available online, many back issues can be purchased through our single copy sales office. Please email them directly for information on price and availability at Ngs.single@customersvc.com.


Is National Geographic magazine available in any languages other than English?


The magazine is currently available in more than 25 languages. The National Geographic Society works with publishers around the world to produce foreign-language editions. Note: English-language subscriptions cannot be exchanged for non-English subscriptions. However, you may cancel a current membership and order a foreign-language edition.


What can I do with my old National Geographic magazines?


You might check with nearby nursing and retirement homes, prisons, hospitals, or schools to see if they would welcome your donation. We have a Collectors Corner on our website, which includes a dealers list and a Collector's Forum where you can post a notice regarding your collection.
