DAVID ALAN HARVEY
David Alan Harvey has has specialized in capturing on film the heart and soul of Spanish culture. For the 1996 "all Mexico" issue of National Geographic magazine, David's assignment was set in the San Miguel region. David has returned to this picturesque area frequently to photograph and to teach workshops. David will lead the November 6, 2005 and November 12, 2006 workshops. |

MIKE NICHOLS
Michael "Nick" Nichols is a passionate photographer whose enthusiasm is infectious. Working with Jane Goodall, Nick published Brutal Kinship, a book about the relationship between humans and chimpanzees. A popular instructor, Nick teaches photographers how to expand their ability to "see" a good photograph. Nick will lead the November 13, 2005 workshop. |

JIM STANFIELD
In his 34-year career behind the camera at National Geographic, Jim Stanfield photographed 65 articles for the magazine. The White House Photographers Association named him Photographer of the Year four times. Jim has photographed in 120 countries, covering subjects such as gold, earthquakes, and the Vatican.Jim will lead the November 5, 2006 workshop. |

Join National Geographic photographers in a workshop set in the charming colonial town of San Miguel de Allende. San Miguel is a national historic landmark with an international community of artists, writers, and sculptors. The photographic opportunities outside the gates of our hotel, La Posada de la Aldea, are endless.
This workshop follows a similar format to the Santa Fe workshop and includes excursions to the historic city of Querétaro and the scenic hill town of Guanajuato.
Day 1-7
The photographic opportunities just outside the gates of our hotel are endless. This workshop follows a similar format to the Santa Fe program, and includes excursions to the historic city of Querétaro and scenic hill town of Guanajuato. Daily assignments and critiques offer participants the opportunity to improve their photographic skills and refine their personal style under expert guidance. All meals are included, except for three dinners and one lunch.

| ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS |
The National Geographic Photography Workshops are geared for amateur and serious photographers who want to learn the techniques used to capture and select the amazing images for National Geographic’s books and magazines.
Price includes workshop tuition, accommodations, services of the National Geographic instructor and one or more other instructors, meals as indicated in the itinerary, model and location fees, and local transportation.
Film shooters add $125 for processing ten rolls of E-6 transparency film.
Prior to the workshop, you’ll receive a letter from your instructors with suggestions on lenses, film, and equipment.
The workshops are limited to 25 participants.
