A lifelong believer that everyone can make a difference, Kim McKay has carried that message through over 20 years of work in support of the environment. In 1989 she co-founded Clean Up Australia, now the largest community environmental project in that country. Currently a partner in Momentum2, a Sydney-based social and sustainability marketing consultancy, she is also the co-author (with Jenny Bonnin) of True Green...100 Everyday Ways You Can Contribute to a Healthier Planet, published by National Geographic, followed by True Green @ Work in early 2008. Presentation Topics
Making a Difference—Being True Green
With critical issues like global warming and climate change in the news everyday, it seems that the worldwide challenges we face are too sweeping for individuals’ actions to matter. In her National Geographic book series, True Green, Kim McKay tackles this issue head-on, striving to convince both individuals and corporations that even small steps in going green can make a big difference.

Greening the Workplace
More than 80 percent of U.S. workers polled in a recent National Geographic survey believe it is important to work for a company or organization that makes the environment a top priority and fosters sustainable business practices. Yet, only 53 percent do. For many organizations the challenge is too daunting. In her latest book and presentation, True Green @ Work, McKay breaks down the process of going green into manageable steps and demonstrates numerous practicable ways that organizations can impart sweeping changes, one step at a time.
