This Just In: New Finland-Estonia Ferry Route Launched

This April Silja Line launched the SuperSeaCat IV, a ferry designed to speed travelers from Helsinki, Finland, to Tallinn, Estonia, in an hour and a half. Picture this: gliding over the cobalt blue Baltic while kicking back with the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper and a lemon-spiked vodka martini from the bar. Facilities also include a duty-free shop and a cafeteria.

Seats are guaranteed for up to 750 passengers per trip; cars and buses may be transported as well. Ferries run throughout the day and evening. One-way fares are U.S. $24 to $56 for adults, $12 for children, and $18 for cars (plus the per-person fees). For more information or to make reservations, call Norwegian Coastal Voyage Inc./Bergen Line Services: 800 323 7436 (U.S. and Canada only). Or check out Silja’s Web site: www.silja.com.
