Ronald Krieger says that he accidentally spotted this strange scene while on vacation in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela. But his wife (who gets credit for titling the photo “Face Lift”) suspects that her 64-year-old husband, owner of a family feed and garden store in Kirkwood, Missouri, was, perhaps, looking. “I was in a poolside lounge chair and I noticed a young lady, 50 feet away, reading her trendy magazine. It was such a strange illusion, and I quickly took the picture. Then I moved a bit and took another. I have no idea who this woman is, and she had no idea she was being photographed. Although I have no technical knowledge of cameras, I think I have a good eye, and I feel that a pure photograph is one from the heart.”
