Merit Award: Rod Innes
Canon Rebel K2 camera and the National Geographic Photography Field Guide. |
Rod Innes of Stevenson Ranch, California, spent two hours waiting for the right light to fall over Naxos, Greece (as his patient wife read a book). "We crossed a causeway that connects Naxos to a small island known for its unfinished Temple of Apollo," he says. "It was getting late and a bit cold, but I turned around to shoot ten dusky panoramic views of the harbor just as the city lights started coming on." (Hasselblad X-Pan II, 45mm lens, Fujichrome Velvia film.)
