It was a good year for scenics—two of our top four prizewinners (and three of the top nine) are landscapes. But there were plenty of other great shots that illustrated the theme “travel memories.” The winning photos were picked from the 22,495 images submitted by 6,903 amateur photographers worldwide. Assembled here is the work of our top winners plus answers to frequently asked questions and a few photographic resources on the Internet worth looking at.
