“I was so fearful of falling off the trolley myself that I almost lost this shot,” explains Hoffman, a 33-year-old international obesity researcher based in New York City. “The trolley goes from downtown Rio de Janeiro to a neighborhood called Santa Teresa. These boys were leaping from car to car with great agility and no fear. It was more than a bit scary.”
