Sixth Street reminds me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans on a Saturday night," says photographer Will Van Overbeek of this area that is frequented by college students, Austin residents, and tourists for its festive atmosphere and live music. "On a typical Saturday night there are partygoers and bachelorette parties everywhere." The "King of Sixth Street," pictured here, is such a regular fixture on Sixth Street that the Jazz Kitchen gave him a permanent performance space outside of the restaurant, complete with a lighted crown.
