Get a Free "Crown of the Continent" MapGuide

Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park lies at the center of the region called the "Crown of the Continent," where the U.S.-Canada border crosses the Rockies. Working with National Geographic Maps and our Center for Sustainable Destinations, the communities of northwestern Montana, southwestern Alberta, and southeastern British Columbia invite you to enrich your visit to Glacier and Waterton parks by exploring the broader Crown region via a new and complimentary National Geographic Geotourism MapGuide. You'll find information on the front side about the region as it is today: parks and wilderness, rural communities, land conservation initiatives, and the accelerating impacts of climate change. On the flip side, you'll learn about the region's heritage: grizzly bears, ranching, and places to visit where you'll experience the time-shaped flow of the natural world and the legacy of human history.
