Answer: b. sarcophagus.
The sarcophagi of royalty were rectangular coffins hewn from two blocks of graniteone for the box and one for the lid. They were elaborately carved to imitate buildings. The cartonnage was a decorative wrapping layer resembling papier-mâché.
