National Geographic Channel today announces a joint promotion with Pepsi London IMAX Theatre to profile their Dinosaur Week (November 16-20). This on-air promotion offers viewers the opportunity to receive one of 100 double passes to T-Rex: Back to the Cretaceous, which premieres on November 27, 1998, at the Pepsi London IMAX Theatre, Trocadero, Piccadilly.
T-Rex: Back to Cretaceous is a state-of-the-art 3-D film shot in high-resolution, 70-millimeter-format film with a 15,000 watt, six-track digital sound system. The film will be displayed on Britains largest cinema screen. The Pepsi London IMAX is the only European 3-D cinema to provide personal digital headsets with a two-channel sound system.
National Geographic Channels Dinosaur Week, which broadcasts on satellite and cable TV, consists of five one-hour episodes. Narrated by Juliet Stevenson, this week of programming aims to reveal everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about dinosaurs behaviour, using cutting-edge technologies and old-fashioned digging techniques.
Sonia Jackson, Head of Marketing for the National Geographic Channel, said This is a fantastic opportunity for National Geographic Channel. Whilst the National Geographic Society is currently making incredible dinosaur discoveries, we will not only be showing our Dinosaur Week on the National Geographic Channel but also jointly promoting the T. Rex film at the Pepsi IMAX. We look forward to many more cross-promotional opportunities with our partners.
