Crewmembers lower the flag on "Old Ironsides," the frigate U.S.S. Constitution. Launched in 1797 the legendary vessel is a War of 1812 veteran and the world's oldest navy warship still in service afloat. These days her duty consists of hosting Charlestown Navy Yard visitors anxious to climb aboard an enduring piece of American naval heritage.
