        "transcript": "<p>Science sinks to new lows and that's a great thing for divers.</p><p>I'm Lucie McNeil and this is National Geographic On Assignment\u2014your link to thousands of Nat Geo Explorers around the globe.</p><p>Today, we're off to the Bahamas Islands in the Atlantic Ocean.</p><p>Deep water coral reefs are a new frontier in ocean exploration.\u00a0 But until now, the complexities of working at water depths of more than 250 feet made studying there extremely difficult.</p><p>National Geographic's Mike Lombardi has invented a portable dive habitat that helps scientists work at these depths.</p><p>Humans have to endure long decompression delays as they surface\u2014for their bodies to adjust to the changing water pressures.</p><p>Mike's habitat eases these tedious wait times by allowing divers to take off their masks, stay warm and even eat.</p><p>Easier decompressions means divers can stay at depth longer, giving them more time to study and explore.</p><p>That's National Geographic On Assignment\u2014your link to our Explorers.<a name=\"_GoBack\"></a></p>",
