Jeff 27>> talks about spending weeks at a time living and working outside with filmmaking partner Scott McKinley:

  • We built a little snow fort   04>> on three sides for protection from the wind and snow. It was our little studio   02>> out in the field.

  • We used a lipstick camera, a miniature video camera about the size of a double-A battery, to film little dipper birds diving and “flying” underwater.

  • All of a sudden, in the middle of this blizzard, there’s a knock on the door of the van, and here comes the pizza!
