Woodrow Wilson House (2340 S Street N.W.; phone: +1 202 387 4062)

This Georgian Revival house served as Woodrow Wilson’s home from 1921 until his death in 1924. Mrs. Wilson stayed until her death in 1961, then bequeathed it intact to the National Trust. Wilson was the sole President to retire in Washington. The house is the only presidential museum in Washington, D.C., and it is filled with memorabilia of Wilson’s career as well as the furnishings of a 1920s American family.
