Travertine Terrace
Hey, this looks like something you might find in a cave, only it's outside. It's a travertine terrace! Terraces form where hot water dissolves underground limestone, a rock made from the shells of ancient sea creatures. When the water gurgles to the surface, the dissolved rock it carries crystallizes over years into dams that make cascading pools.
