Annie Roth has been contributing to National Geographic since June 2018. She writes about wildlife conservation, marine biology, and the environment.
Her work has appeared in National Geographic, the San Jose Mercury News, Science, Inside Science, and the Monterey Herald.
Roth has a graduate certificate in science communication and a bachelor’s degree in marine biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. When Roth isn't coming up with alliterations about sick seals and endangered elephants, she spends her time scuba diving with sharks and watching old episodes of Star Trek with her three-legged cat.
