Plans to create a huge ski resort that would require blowing up part of the Alps are on hold after major pushback from locals coming to grips with warming.

In Austria's Tyrol province, the development of ski resorts is colliding with local resistance to the damage it would do, all in the face of a warming climate that endangers a way of life.
