Chris Boyes is the Expeditions Director for the National Geographic Okavango Wilderness Project. A project that, since 2010, has been exploring and documenting all the major rivers of the Okavango and Cuando River systems of Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Angola, as well as exploring the vast Miombo forest system that forms the source water tower for the great Okavango, Cuando, Zambezi, and Kwanza River systems in Angola by motor vehicle, motorbike and fatbike. Chris was born in Cape Town, South Africa, grew up in Johannesburg, and has spent the last 39 years exploring, learning and documenting this incredibly biodiverse part of the world.
