Florence (Flo) Simond

Mountain topography runs through the veins of Florence Simond, a descendant of one of Chamonix Valley’s oldest families. Following a childhood spent in the shadow of Mont Blanc, Flo moved to southern France and later embarked on travels in South America and Asia. The Alps inevitably called her home, and she became a certified international mountain leader in 1993. Today the accomplished hiking guide, skier, and climber enjoys introducing travelers from around the world to the Alps, drawing on her experience leading nearly 50 trips through this iconic landscape.
