Gerard Baker is Editor at Large of The Wall Street Journal. He writes columns and commentary and hosts the weekly primetime TV series WSJ at Large with Gerry Baker on Fox Business Network. Gerard previously served as Editor in Chief of the Journal and Dow Jones from 2013 to 2018 and, before that, was Deputy Editor in Chief. Before joining the Journal, Gerard worked for The Times of London, where he served as U.S. editor and assistant editor; The Financial Times, where he was Tokyo correspondent, Washington bureau chief, and chief U.S. commentator; and the BBC, where he was economics correspondent. He started his working life as an analyst at the Bank of England, and then as an economist in the city of London. Gerard was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, where he graduated with a First Class Honors degree in philosophy, politics, and economics. He will join the Future of Everything: Exploring Global Innovation by Private Jet expedition from Seattle to Mongolia. He will join half of the Israel and the West Bank: The Future of Innovation Amid Conflict expedition.
