Gill McMillan’s boots are made for walking the hills of the Scottish Highlands—and any other wild place she sets her sights on. She says hiking is “hard to live without” and has spent the past eight years conquering all 282 of Scotland’s Munros—as peaks over 3,000 feet here are called—and walking the legendary Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route across northern Spain. Previous careers in occupational therapy and reiki therapy keep Gill attuned to the well-being of travelers on the trail, and she enjoys share her knowledge of native plants.
