Marios Gavalas

Outdoor adventurer and writer Marios Gavalas has been professionally guiding in New Zealand for more than a decade. Always equipped with paper, a pen, and a camera, he has led many groups on a wide array of trails in Fiordland National Park, Abel Tasman National Park, and other wild and mountainous regions of the country. A prolific author, Marios has also written 18 walking and historical guides and has published articles in New Zealand Geographic, The New Zealand Herald, and New Zealand Wilderness. He lives in the beautiful Motueka Valley on two-acres with his wife and two teenage daughters.
