Sölvi Úlfsson

Sölvi Úlfsson grew up surrounded by bookcases full of issues of National Geographic, thanks to his grandfather’s subscription to the magazine. He dabbled in numerous professions—handyman, gardener, park ranger, and more—before finding his true calling as a mountain guide in 2014. The Reykjavík native holds a Bachelor’s degree in comparative literature and cultural studies, and can retell Icelandic sagas as effortlessly as he expounds on Iceland’s geological history. Sölvi has a passion for maps, loves to cook, and speaks fluent French.
