Whilder Alarico

Raised in the highland jungles near Machu Picchu, Whilder Alarico comes from a traditional family of farmers and has spoken the native Quechua language since childhood. He completed his education in Cusco, where he earned a degree in tourism and studied English. For the past 15 years he has helped adventurous travelers explore Peru on foot, from the cobblestone streets of Cusco to the snaking stone and dirt paths of the Inca Trail. A budding naturalist, Whilder always looks for opportunities to share his passion and knowledge about Peru’s diverse flora and fauna along the trail.
