Abu Dhabi Art —
Fostering Creativity

The UAE capital’s fondness for art is evident in its galleries, architecture and other cultural institutions. In 2008, Abu Dhabi Art was established to nurture this passion for creativity; a year-round program dedicated to celebrating contemporary art, providing a platform for regional galleries and artists to exhibit and sell their work. Throughout the year, talks, exhibitions and workshops take place across the emirate, with feature installations popping up to pique curiosity and drive interest in the main annual event: the Abu Dhabi Art Fair. The four-day festival takes place each November at Manarat Al Saadiyat, a cultural foundation and exhibition space on Saadiyat Island, just around the corner from the Louvre Abu Dhabi. In 2018, 46 galleries participated in the fair, showcasing the work of international and local talent and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a cultural beacon in the Middle East.
