Use this story about dolphins to discuss how animals live by relating it to your child's favorite pastime: playing. Teach your child to swim in a neighborhood pool and pretend to be dolphins.
Play other games that encourage your child's comfort in the water—such as blowing bubbles underwater and having your child jump to you in the pool.
