We asked the @YourShot Instagram community to share what inspires you when you are out with your camera, and what remarkable or impactful moments you have captured. We were looking for a submission of 3-5 images that inspire, engage, and reveal a passion for storytelling.

GRAND PRIZE

Three winners were selected to compete in Assignment: Inspiration for a chance to become one of National Geographic’s Next Great Storytellers. They each won a trip to Los Angeles, where they competed in a series of Storytelling Quests under the mentorship of experts from National Geographic experts and Mazda. The best storyteller will ultimately win the opportunity to complete an official assignment for National Geographic Travel. See the official rules.
