This is the story of three friends and roommates
...in their last month of living together.
This is the data of a goodbye.
I tracked the roommates for nearly a month, and the major insight that emerged is that the pattern of everyday life is often routine.
The map shows the roommates doing typical things: going to work, taking trips out of London, spending time at home, going out on weekends.
Conclusion: the impending farewell didn't alter their typical patterns.
But the data did show one thing:
On Roommate 2's final weekend in London, all three of the roommates spent substantially more of their time together.
On the map, this is the last weekend that they were tracked.
Goodbyes are hard to say,
harder to track,
and easiest experienced from another's point of view.
