Coming Up: National Park Twitter Chat

Join @NatGeoTravel on Twitter when we share our favorite national park stories and tips.

This year, the National Park Service is celebrating its centennial—marking 100 years of protecting natural landscapes and making wild spaces available to the public. National Geographic is joining the celebration with a year of special parks coverage. So far, we’ve put together some of our favorite national park road trips, shared photos of the beauty within the parks, and discussed tips on what to do just outside their borders.

We will be keeping the conversation going on Friday, April 8, 2016, with a Twitter chat—just in time for National Park Week, which kicks off on April 16 and gives everyone the opportunity to visit any national park for free. We’re excited to hear what you have to say and hope you’ll join us at 2 p.m. ET by using #NatGeoTravelChat.

Jonathan Irish, a National Geographic photographer who is currently on an adventure to visit all 59 national parks this year, will host the conversation. During the live chat, @NatGeoTravel will pose six questions over the course of an hour. Irish and other members of the Nat Geo family will give their answers and share the ways they experience and enjoy the national parks.

Be sure to jump into the conversation with your own recommendations, stories, and thoughts. We’ll be retweeting our favorite responses.
