We hope you are this content on your travels.

This month’s issue of National Geographic Traveler magazine celebrates blissful journeys—the ones that enrich our lives and change our perspectives on the world. To discover how travel can make us happier, we talked to the Dalai Lama about life’s journey to joy, shared a story of beauty and love in Tuscany, and lost ourselves in the vivid colors and beats of Trinidad.

We’ll be continuing our conversation on Thursday, August 18, with a Twitter chat. Eric Weiner, author of the New York Times best seller Geography of Bliss, former NPR foreign correspondent, and regular contributor to BBC Travel, will host the discussion, and we hope you’ll join us to share your happiest travel moments at 2 p.m. ET by using #NatGeoTravelChat.

During the live chat, @NatGeoTravel will pose six questions over the course of an hour. Weiner and members of the National Geographic family will give their answers and discuss how travel has made their lives more blissful.

Be sure to jump into the conversation with your own thoughts and travel stories. We will be retweeting our favorite responses.
