Illuminating the Texas sky with its bright lights since 1964, the Broken Spoke is a "true honky-tonk" joint and Texas' most definitive dance hall. Owner and founder James M. White, 67, dons his white cowboy hat and surveys the evening scene. "I got to build it, name it, and it's been my baby since I was 25 years old," says White. "People come from all over the world to experience a real Texas thing."
