Protecting the Planet’s Blue Heart

Oceanographer, World Economic Forum member, and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Sylvia Earle narrates a beautifully animated short illuminating the importance of protecting our oceans, produced by the World Economic Forum. Earle highlights the human impact on our oceans and shares ways that we can help preserve Earth’s largest asset. "I think of the ocean as the blue heart of the planet. Well, how much of your heart do you want to protect ... ?" she asks. This short was derived from extracts from "Understanding Our Oceans Using Technology," part of a series that took place at the Annual Meeting 2013 in Davos, Switzerland.
