Jurassic Jungle: Writer Jamie James glides along the Cigenter River
"Paddling the Cigenter River was an unbelievably fantastic experience. It's remarkably peaceful and lovely here, yet full of primeval, Jurassic Park stuffrain forest and trees that have fallen into the river. The rich colors of the place are so beautiful, and the strong tropical sun creates great pools of mottled light on the river's surface."

"This was an engineered shotJamie wasn't allowed to move so that I could capture the gliding movement of the boat. On the right, you get this beautiful blurring motion that reflects the energy of our canoe moving through the jungle river. If you look at the length of the streaks, you can see how long the exposure was. If I didn't use a tripod with this timed exposure, everything would be blurry. But setting this type of camera up on a tripod in a very narrow dugout canoe was quite difficult."
