It is pretty common in India to see traveling performers setting up camp and performing tricks for the crowd. These performers are outside a Buddhist monastery in Hemis Ladakh. The girl on the tightrope is probably no more than eight years old. Her facial expression shows how utterly focused she is on the task at hand; her father, below, keeps the beat for her.
