| Libya's Shifting Sands |
"The sun was getting very hot, and the sand sea we were crossing seemed endless. Trona, an oasis where we would camp out, was still nine hours away via camel. To give an idea of the rollicking ride of camel travel, I framed my mode of transport's head into the lower portion of the frame. Our guide Magdy leads the way. After three long days of camel trekking, I have great respect for the great Saharan nomads and explorers like Hugh Clapperton for their endurance."
