Biography

“Papa Jean is a well-known figure at both Saintes-Maries and Arles, and his nephews perform as the Gypsy Kings. He lives in a caravan which he parks in a small terrain de camping shared with other Gitans. Unmistakable in his hat and scarf, he has always been a snappy dresser—and popular with the women too!”
