Klums insights into his work
Biography
|
Members of Mattias Klums team were attacked by bloodsucking leeches and drenched by furious showers as they crouched for days behind blinds. Nothing fazed my crew and me during our 14-month sojourn in the Malaysian rain forests of Sarawak and Sabah, says Klum. From May 1995 through July 1996 we built platforms and blinds on the forest floor and in tree canopies 35-70 meters (115-230 feet) high. There, we waited for the right light and elusive animals to appear. They did! The photographs here reflect the secret world of the lush Malaysian wilderness.
