National Geographic Explorers Symposium, Day 2

We're about to step into the second day of the third annual National Geographic Explorers Symposium, held at the NGS headquarters in Washington DC, to hear about the work of some of the world's most accomplished explorers–in this case all individuals who are funded by the National Geographic Society (Explorers-in-Residence, Fellows, Emerging Explorers, etc.). So far we've heard from Bob Ballard, Reza, Dereck and Beverly Joubert, Jared Diamond, Enric Sala, Sylvia Earle, and Mike Fay. Even Bjork is here to hear about the leading edge in exploration. It's been incredible, inspiring, and reminds us why the NGS is uniquely positioned to help us futher understand our modern world.

Today the lineup includes Paul Sereno, Wade Davis, Spencer Wells, Zeb Hogan, and an impressive array of Emerging Explorers with new projects in the works.

We'll have a more detailed post later.
