Weird But True! Hits the Airwaves
The popular magazine and book franchise expands to radio and television.
National Geographic Kids recently launched the Weird But True! franchise on syndicated television and SiriusXM radio.
Based on the wildly popular feature in National Geographic Kids magazine and series of books by the same name, the television and radio shows both draw upon the wild and wacky facts for which the franchise is known.
Science-loving siblings Charlie and Kirby Engelman host the Weird But True! television series, investigating the fun, surprising, and strange way our world works. With humor and homemade visual aids, they explore everything from shipwrecks to our senses to extreme weather.
How to watch: Weird But True! airs primarily on Saturdays on FOX. Check your local listings. You can also watch Charlie’s Facebook Live appearance.
The weekly Weird But True! satellite radio series features National Geographic Kids editors Becky Baines and Kate Hale, who have spent years amassing a database of the world’s weirdest (but all true) facts. Their enlightening and lighthearted approach is a perfect match for the Kids Place Live channel on SiriusXM.
How to listen: Weird But True! airs on SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live channel 78 on Fridays at 5 p.m. ET with a replay on Sundays at 1 p.m. ET and two replays on Weird But True Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET.
