THE BRIEF
Due to Japan’s current popularity as a destination, the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB) wanted to draw visitors away from well-known cities like Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima by showing them how easy it is to move around the country using public transport, including the new Hokuriku Shinkansen line extension, starting from when they land in Tokyo.

SOLUTION
Under the title “From Tokyo…” each of four digital articles grouped a collection of locations and activities under a main theme that a particular area of Japan was known for – from culinary delights to festivals – starting with a similar experience in Tokyo. Each article also featured a custom illustrated map showing key locations and which modes of transport can take you there from the capital city.
