THE BRIEF

Peru’s tourism board stated that socio-political unrest has had an impact on its tourism sector since December 2022, resulting in economic losses and affecting Peru’s international reputation.

As they work towards a political consensus, the tourism board wants to  ease the collective mind of the public, generating confidence within sceptical travellers, inspiring them to add Peru to their bucket list.

SOLUTION

National Geographic CreativeWorks produced two custom digital articles, based on the topics of nature and gastronomy.

The content was positioned in a way that celebrated the wonders of Peru and the plethora of unique experiences you can expect to enjoy when you visit.

The content is hosted on the Peru travel guides on National Geographic, and localized in Spanish.

The two pieces of content were distributed across our global digital and social platform through Facebook dark link posts, raising awareness, inspiring and inviting travellers to explore Peru as a holiday destination.
