THE BRIEF

Following the ReNylon project in 2020 aimed at luxury upcycling initiatives, this brief was to communicate progress that Prada has made in the ocean space and through initiatives, such as with UNESCO on the SEABEYOND ocean preservation educational project. Within the creative response:

- Nat Geo were to look to weave in the brand’s commitment to the SEA BEYOND project.

- For story locations, these should be globally relevant with no specific country or continent requested.

- Prada wanted a red thread to run through the new assets to show continuity in the content.

- For media, the campaign was to have assets which can run across 'innovative' formats, including TikTok.

SOLUTION

In 2019, Prada and @NationalGeographic CreativeWorks launched our "What We Carry" campaign by announcing the Re-Nylon Project: Prada's initiative using recycled plastics from around the world to reimagine their most iconic products. Today, all nylon within Prada’s production is made this way, and we are continuing our collaboration with the unveiling of the "What We Carry Forward" campaign. In this three-part video series, together we explore the power of education and indigenous knowledge in creating inspiring solutions that can help mitigate coral reef loss, invasive species, and glacier recession.
