Your Shot Photos: The Magic of the Night Market

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

All around the world, in cities large and small, street markets come to life at night. While people can shop for T-shirts and remote-controlled toys, the real draw is the variety of foods that somehow take on a more exotic appeal after hours.

At these markets, street vendors hawk everything from vegetables to vindaloo, shark to shakshuka, and everything in between. While supermarkets and sprawl encroach on traditional market space, we hope there will always be markets like these to shoppers out under the stars.

Enjoy the mix of sights, sounds, and smells evoked by our contributors to the Your Shot photo community.
