Running, Running, Running Ahead of Eco-marathon

I guess it’s nothing new to hear the teams that are going to participate in Shell Eco-marathon Americas are running like crazy to finish their cars on time. I never had thought it, but it takes a LOT of hard work to make a car, especially a supermileage car.

The team has been working so hard to finish the car on time. There are so many rules that have to be taken into account, different problems that arise in the making of the car, and a lot stress, but all of this only makes the final result sweeter.

Just the fact that we are able to compete with a lot of great teams, in such a competition, has our team’s enthusiasm running high. Since it’s our first time competing, we want to make our best possible run, but we know that there is a lot to learn and we know that this competition will help us for the next year to improve and always be better.

We are going to participate in the prototype ethanol category. Our car uses a GX 31 Honda engine to power the car. In the end, our team was mainly formed by chemical engineering students, so we had to learn all about mechanics, which was not an easy task. Thank God we had an excellent mecha-tronic student and an excellent designer join us.

We are ready to go to the competition and we can’t wait to make our best effort.
