October is synonymous with the harvest, a time to celebrate and reflect on bounty. At National Geographic, we've been covering the challenge of how to feed a growing world, and we asked the Nat Geo Your Shot community to show us how they and their city support a more sustainable food system. Many responded to the hashtag #foodforthecity with images of urban agriculture and community gardens while others conveyed the bustling street scenes, markets, and vendors more broadly associated with life in an urban landscape.
