July 30, 2026 | Sunrise Walk
Tibetan Buddhist monks walk around the Boudhanath Stupa at sunrise in Kathmandu, Nepal. The ritual is a form of walking meditation known as kora, in which Buddhist worshippers trace a clockwise path around a sacred space or object while reciting mantras. The Boudhanath Stupa is a popular pilgrimage destination, but Mount Kailash in China is considered one of the most sacred sites for Tibetan Buddhists.
