A diver plunges into the Jialing River in Chongqing, China, one of the world’s largest cities. Recently, photographer Aleksey Kondratyev came across a group of men mostly age 50 and older along the riverfront. They gather almost daily, diving and swimming during Chongqing’s famously hot summers—and, for the most dedicated, throughout the winter as well.
