German Flores feeds Pancho and other donkeys at the Burrolandia (Donkeyland) Sanctuary in Otumba, Mexico. Flores is a co-founder of the sanctuary, which was created in 2006 in an effort to preserve the country's donkey population. The animal is intimately linked to Mexico's culture, with the town of Otumba holding the National Donkey Festival each year.
