Marriage and Mariachi

In this picture from the December 1990 issue, a mariachi band serenades a newly married couple on the way to their wedding reception in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. This style of music dates back to the 18th century, and has been designated as an element of Mexico's "Intangible Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO.
